Just got back from another year at the Small Press Expo (my tenth!). Max Clotfelter and Lance Ward flew in from different parts of This Great Land to join me for their book debuts, and I can't thank them enough. It was great catching up with old friends, making new ones, stinking up another hotel room, and even being asked to present another Ignatz Award (I can never hold a candle to Ben Passmore's award presentations, but I do my best)!

Now that I'm back, it's time to get down to the business of shipping rewards! I am but one man, so please have patience with me. Max handed off his original artwork from the Raunchy Bowl mini, so I'll take photos of those and send them out to those lucky backers to choose from (in the order you backed the campaign, so the first backer gets to choose from all the pages and so on until the last backer gets whatever remains...they're all great, so there are no losers here!). He was also nice enough to include BONUS ARTWORK with each page!

Max also handed off the paste-ups for Raunchy Bowl, so I will try to get those printed up on the ol' risograph this week.

Hello friends!

I'm fixing to charge your credit cards, so if you want to use your credit (if you're picking up your rewards at SPX or CAB, you've been given credit for the amount of shipping you paid to use in our BackerKit shop), please do so now!

"Rooftop Stew" and "Blood and Drugs" have been sent to the printer, so crossing our fingers we'll have them at SPX (Sept. 14 & 15). Max Clotfelter, Lance Ward and myself will be flying/driving in from various parts of this great land (America) to shake hands and kiss babies.

Surveys have gone out / get credit for shipping

Hi backers! Just wanted to let you know that all surveys have gone out. You can use BackerKit to add on items from this campaign, November Garcia's "Malarkey #4" (which didn't make it onto the Kickstarter campaign) and from our extensive back catalog if you like. 

Also, please note that there is an option to pick up your rewards at SPX in September (where we'll be debuting Max Clotfelter's "Rooftop Stew", Lance Ward's "Blood and Drugs" and November Garcia's "Malarkey #4"). If you select that option on your survey, we will issue a credit for the amount you paid for shipping that can be used for add-on items. 

All of the artwork for Rooftop Stew and Blood and Drugs has now made its way to me, and I've been busy getting it all ready for the printer. If I have time, I'm going to print up some risograph posters of the title page of Rooftop Stew and include them with your books! 

Just finished a first pass at a full-color version of said title page to be used as promo cards going out to indie-friendly comic shops. Please let me know if you have a favorite local shop that stocks small press comics!

I just wanted to point out that for just $5 extra, you can get RAUNCHY BOWL, an 8-page limited edition (only 50 copies), numbered mini-comic made exclusively for this Kickstarter by Max Clotfelter! So, if you want that madness, just change your reward tier to the RAUNCHY BOWL bundle. 

Also, a reminder that anything raised above the goal will be split up between the artists and myself (my portion just goes toward all the promotional stuff I've already paid for...promo cards, stickers, promoted ads, etc. and towards the Kickstarter & credit card fees). So, please don't stop helping us get the word out. Our social media posts only go so far (and the algorithm is against us when it thinks we might be coerced into paying to promote a post), so your signal boosts are greatly appreciated!

We'll be debuting Eva Müller's "Future Corpse" mini at MoCCA here in Manhattan on April 6th & 7th, so come say hi to me and John Kerschbaum at table F209 (upstairs back corner)!
